On June 22nd, 2008 the great comedian, political commentator, New Yorker, actor, author, and word smith George Carlin died of heart complications. I just heard about this a minute ago on the radio and my reaction actually made the guy in the car next to me turn and look.
I always liked his more serious bits that waxed philosophical on life and society - he was very insightful.
